There is a crank to adjust the center post height. Nice feature when trying to adjust the laser level to a specific height. This feature is not mentioned and hard to see in the Amazon listing for some reason. Neither do they give specs for the height which seems important.
I like this tripod although it would be nice if some elements were a little beefier.
A case is included but it is a very tight fit, another 1/2 inch of length would be nice.
2. There's no accommodation for a plumb-bob, that should be standard on all tripods of this type.
3. The leg latches are friction fit with cheap plastic and started to loosen up after the very first use.
4. The crank used to adjust the upper stage height was made with obviously terrible tolerances. It skips, gets stuck or just refuses to turn without backing it back down again. In cooler weather I can see this breaking right off.
This should basically be considered a disposable item. Dewalt certainly isn't what they used to be. It gets returned.
