If you’re a professional woodworker or cabinetmaker looking for a spray system with enough power and portability for your fine-finishing projects, the Fuji Spray Mini-Mite PLATINUM Series is a must for your business. With the Mini-Mite PLATINUM Series, you can spray cabinets, furniture, autos or pianos – in fact, anything wood or metal! Exclusive to Fuji Spray – The Fuji Spray Heat Dissipation Chamber Fuji Spray has designed a unique method of removing any heat build up from the turbine case. Excess heat is channeled to a Heat Dissipation Chamber located at the rear of the case. Since the hot air is dissipated evenly through an optimum surface area of 60 holes, there is no added hiss or loud whistling noise. There is also no blowing around of debris. The benefits of a cooler running unit results in a longer life for your turbine motor compared to standard turbines.
What Makes This Series Different
- Lightweight and portable
- Powerful and versatile – regardless of the motor stage
- Simple fan pattern adjustment from circular to wide at your fingertips
- Three fan pattern orientations – horizontal, vertical, circle

- Can be used with a range of materials (high to low viscosity)
- Suitable for both waterborne and solvent-based coatings
- Easy to disassemble spray gun resulting in hassle-free clean up and maintenance

Product Description
Product Description
The Mini-Mite 4 PLATINUM gravity (MM4) system includes all the same features as the Mini-Mite 3 PLATINUM but with the use of a stronger 4-stage motor turbine. The MM4 PLATINUM comes with the Fuji T-75G spray gun that features a pattern control knob to adjust the fan size from small to large. Fuji installs the same powerful 4-stage turbine motor as used in the Q4 models. The MM4 PLATINUM does not have the patented noise-reduction feature as seen on the Fuji Q-Models, however the noise level is no more than any other standard HVLP turbine. The MM4 PLATINUM turbine develops approximately 9psi. This allows for less thinning of paints than any 3-stage model. More than enough pressure to spray all known coatings (when properly thinned) and all the newer water-based coatings. The spray gun included with this package is the Fuji T-75G with 600cc gravity nylon cup. The standard air cap set #3 (1.3mm) is for the use of general purpose fine finishing. Easy to maintain. Perfect for professional or beginner. This is an industrial-rated machine at an unbeatable price. Heavy-duty metal case with gun holder. Portable and powerful. The system includes the Mini-Mite 4 PLATINUM turbine, 25ft Hi-Flex hose, T-75G non-bleed spray gun with 600cc cup, viscosity cup, cleaning brush, wrench and 24 page user manual. What’s new in the Mini-Mite PLATINUM Series? The Fuji Spray Heat Dissipation Chamber: Fuji Spray has designed a unique method of removing any heat build-up from the turbine case. Excess heat is channeled to a Heat Dissipation Chamber located at the rear of the case. Fuji Spray Noise Reduction Covers: The Mini-Mite PLATINUM turbines are equipped with a method to reduce noise. The Noise Reduction Covers house the Filters. This unit is for North American 120V plug only. For 220V capacity, please contact Fuji Spray directly.

My previous attempt (Wagner HVLP conversion gun) was giving me acceptable results but the thing was very fickle cause splatter at times, was a monster to dial in atomization and was a PITA to clean to the point I started to find excuses to not use it including going back to linseed oil and shellac finish. I would even buy rattle can finish at the big box stores if pressed to apply a poly.
I kept hearing overwhelmingly positive feedback about HVLP turbine units and after reading many reviews I decided to take the plunge and give spraying one more try. I got the gravity feed (top cup) because it gets into corners better than the bottom cup. I had a bottom cup on my Wagner. After a few projects I am floored as this is a whole different arena than my prior compressor driven conversion HVLP and I am now planning all the things I can spray!
PROS:
-The turbine takes a whole variable out of set up. You don't have to worry about air drying, oil in the line, hot air, pressure settings at gun and compressor, pressure drop, etc.
-4 stage turbine has enough power to spray thick coatings like waterbourne of out the can, latex and primers.
-Spray pattern adjustment and fluid flow is EASY and took me seconds to set to my satisfaction
-Surprisingly easy to clean and only took 5 mins to complete
-Well made. All the parts feel well cast and no loose fitting parts or sloppy attachments
CONS:
-Loud, but honestly not that bad. About that of a vacuum cleaner and was MUCH quieter than the din of my air compressor cycling.
-Small cup. You can get a larger cup I believe but remember that when you fill the cup it will affect the weight and balance of the gun. Fill the nylon cup with water to the top and feel the balance before you get a bigger one and consider the bottom cup gun if you need the volume but don't want the top weight. If I had it to do again, I would still get the top cup for sure.
-Walking back to the turbine to turn it off every time I need to break (refill the cup, re-position the project, etc). I purchased a remote control power switch so I can turn it off and on from anywhere. Cost me $12, no big deal.
-Hose is bigger and heavier than standard compressor hose. I got around this by buying the 6' whip hose, I would do that again as well.
I had also considered the Q4 but I don't think the extra $300 was worth the noise reduction for me as I mentioned above, but if you work in a small room or can't use hearing protection you may want to consider it. I'm glad I did not buy the Mini-Mite 3 in hindsight because I won't ever need to upgrade and I don't forsee having a project I just can't quite spray.
I bought this for the purpose of spraying Liquid Wrap products on cars, wheels, and anything else I can get my hands on to spray. The unit is VERY powerful, and can spray pretty much anything without thinning it out as long as you use the correct tip. It atomizes the material extremely well with almost literally no effort by you. The unit doesn't run into any heat issues in my spraying, the air is always just normal luke warm air (not hot warm, just regular barely warm air which is awesome). The noise level is roughly the same as a shop vac or quieter, depending on where you put it, it can be almost inaudible. (hint: grab a remote and put it away from you for silence). I don't need or wear hearing protection with it, but if I ever did, then it would be very minimal. I am curious to know how much quieter that Q4 is after seeing the youtube comparisons, amazing it could be as powerful and even quieter?!?!
The unit is VERY small and lightweight which was shocking to me. Be sure to secure the hose fully on the unit so it doesn't come off. I've never had an issue with it loosening or removing itself from movement, just grab a wrench or pliers to make sure you thread it on there properly. Keep the unit away from wherever you're spraying so you don't gum up the filters.
The hose itself is very flexible in my opinion, and I very rarely used the flex hose at ALL when I first started using it, only started using it later on when I wanted some extra length on it.
The gun itself is of a VERY high caliber, and is very easy to clean. I had no issues with the top leaking, it's very simple to put on, I always put it on and turn it backwards to line it up, then turn it normally to tighten. It doesn't take very much at all to secure it, maybe a quarter turn or so. Never had a leak, never had a problem.
I bought the 0.8, 1.0, 1.3, 1.5, and 1.8mm spray tips (I test everything lol) to go with the gun especially as they're all the same cheap price of about $55. USE THE VISCOSITY CUP provided, don't waste material trying to see which tip to use, or how to approach whatever you're spraying. It takes seconds, and makes sure that everything you do is consistent. It'll save you troubleshooting later, and make sure everything is the same every day, every temperature.
I like using the 1.3mm tip for spraying Plastidip and Raail products (Airwrap and Protek). The plastidip I thinned it out just a little more than out of the 'ready to spray' gallon can, I use Naptha for that until it runs through the velocity cup at roughly 10 seconds which is a few seconds quicker than normal. It lays out GLORIOUSLY smooth when you set it up right with a little knowledge. Depending on temps I can see going up in tip size and moving faster, but if you just wanted one tip, I can see just going with the 1.3mm and adjusting speed/thinner depending on where you're spraying. Raail products spray even sweeter through it because they're thinner by default and lay so nicely anyway. Man I love the Raail stuff, it's just sooooooooooo good.
The T75G is a very high level build spray gun. My only decent gripe with the gun is the fan adjustment on the side. It works just fine, doesn't come loose or move, it's just so small of a range that you have, so you have to move in very small increments which produce big changes. It's totally an ease of use thing, and not even close to a deal breaker, just something to pay attention to when dialing in the fan pattern. I have found that it sprays the nicest if you bring the fan down juuuuust a little bit so the pattern comes out super even. It's a damn good spray gun, 2nd best in the world in my opinion. Be sure to buy some sort of oil to lube up the moving parts since it doesn't come with any. Lube up the threaded areas a little bit, lube up the needle itself from back end to about 3/4 of the way down the shaft (don't get it on the needle tip duh lol). The trigger pull is good if a little on the shorter side, not SHORT, just shorter than what I was used to is all, still very good, also something you should lightly lube up periodically. Take care of your gun, and it'll take care of you.
I also have the Apollo 7500GT spray gun which is in my opinion the absolute best turbine spray gun in the universe. You can use that or any other turbine spray gun with this unit, you can also use the Apollo spray tips from that gun with the sweet Fuji T75G spray gun. You cannot however use the spray tips or needles without modification. They will fit into the gun, but the apollo needles are longer on the back end, and the length of the threaded portion of the nozzle is different as well. Just use the aircaps instead if you need even more atomization. I own aircap A and B (not the High Solids ones since I already have the regular Fuji caps which are that style). If you use a different spray gun than the Fuji gun, the gun stand on the turbine won't hold it because the diameter may be slightly different, but the hose and all will be perfect.
The hose has a valve on the end where you can adjust the amount of air that's coming out of the unit. It's pretty effective to cut down on the already super low overspray, but there are no markings on it if you're looking for super specific adjustment. I do wish there was a dial on the unit instead so you could just turn down the turbine speed instead of choking it off at the hose, no biggie, majority will be running it flat out anyway.
I would absolute buy this unit again, same with the phenomenal spray gun. I have been looking at one of the Apollo turbine units, but ONLY because of the ability to have a digitally controlled turbine/psi adjustment. This little Fuji is fantastic.
Okay, so I wasn't as short on the review as I thought lol. I couldn't help it, I really really really like this unit. I know a number of other people doing liquid wraps that are now using these units as well. The price is awesome and the quality is amazing.

So far I have just sprayed some water based poly and the results are fantastic. The mini- mite is the louder unit compared to the Q series but with the turbine the recommended 20-25 feet away from your spray area noise is really a non issue.
The big test will be paining the cottage kitchen cabinets with a latex/ alkyd next month. I have no doubts that this unit will chug right through though as the 4 stage unit has tons of power.
Would highly recommend for anybody from hobbyist to professional. I can’t wait to use it more!
