Product Description
Alpha Porcellana is a premium wet cutting blade designed for use by tile professionals. The diamond grits and matrix are specially formulated to cut dense porcelain tile and slab with minimal chipping at optimal speed. The Alpha Porcellana produces high quality cuts that will minimize waste and improve your bottom line. The 8â and 10â blades are equipped with a 10mm continuous rim, which provides for a long cutting life. When used properly, re-dressing of the blade is not necessary, which improves efficiency. All these features combined make the Alpha Porcellana quite cost-effective. Alpha also offers this blade in a 4-3/8â and 5â size to fit our AWS-110 and AWS-125 Wet Stone Cutters. This allows tile contractors to perform wet cutting of porcelain tile on the job site, without the need for a bulky tub or tile saw. Besides porcelain, Alpha Porcellana cuts well on most common materials such as marble and granite tile. Alpha Porcellana is clearly the best choice for tile contractors.

DeWalt XP4: 0.007" runout, very loud, felt rough when cutting, chipped like crazy.
Razor T3 (two): 0.015-0.017" runout, quiet, felt smooth when cutting, chipped the tile.
Ridgid reinforced hub "Diamond Edge" blade: 0.005" runout, a little loud, a little rough when cutting, chipped the tile.
Finally, this Alpha Porcellana: 0.002" runout, quiet, smooth cuts, very clean edges.
Obviously there are other factors in how well a tile cuts...the tile itself, the saw / motor / arbor, table alignment, sufficient water, etc. I tested all 5 blades on the same saw with the same tiles...the Alpha was clearly the best for me.
Note: I did try to cut glass tile - it chipped.

I WAS using the razor T3, but something changed (specifically: where they are manufactured) and it isnt the same. I have zero complaints with this Alpha Porcellan 10 inch. If you're a craftsman and need perfect, it's worth the money. If your a homeowner (DIYer), it may not be worth the extra $40.
